lack of physical education programs in today's schools we
are faced with an uphill battle to keep kids healthy.

Exercise and nutrition should be stressed to our youth at a
very young age in order to ensure a healthy lifestyle in their
future. This lifestyle if implemented early can help prevent
obesity and a number of health related problems
developed later in life.

Unfortunately, there has always been a lack of experienced
trainers who know how to work with a younger client. The
child's body is completely different, and needs to be treated
and trained as such.

For example a child has an immature skeleton. Their bones
do not mature until somewhere between the ages 14 and
22 years - depending on gender and maturational levels.

This being said, in girls, exercises during childhood can
have a critical effect on bone health that can last a lifetime.
